Spelling Procedures
Each week students receive their spelling words on
Tuesday.
On Thursday students are tested and if 100% is received
the student is exempt from the Friday test. If the student
did not receive a 100%, there is an opportunity to improve
the score with the Friday test.
Homework should be done nightly. On the spelling cover
sheet, available in class and
here, a student checks off the work they completed,
staples the pages together, and circles the points they
believe they scored. Grades are based on a point system.
This allows flexibility in homework as well as increased
responsibility by allowing choices. Spelling homework must
be labeled, assignments checked on cover sheet,
stapled, and turned in on Friday. |
